15 percent hike in water prices in İzmir

WATER PRICE HIKE

During the council session, it was announced that a 15 percent increase would be applied to water usage rates in the city, effective from December 1, 2024. The motion brought to the council agenda was approved by majority vote following the acceptance votes of the CHP and İYİ Party, and the rejection votes of the AK Party and MHP.

NEW TARIFF DECISION

Starting from December 1, the price of 0-10 cubic meters of water for residential use has been increased from 19.21 liras to 22.09 liras, 11-20 cubic meters from 24.56 liras to 28.25 liras, and 21 cubic meters and above from 45.99 liras to 52.89 liras. With the addition of the wastewater fee, residents of İzmir will pay 33.13 liras for 0-10 cubic meters of water, 42.37 liras for 11-20 cubic meters, and 79.33 liras for 21 cubic meters and above.
