It has been announced that the strike by the Birleşik Metal-İş Union has been postponed for 60 days by a decision from Erdoğan published in the Official Gazette.
The decision was announced in the Official Gazette with the following statement:
"It has been decided, in accordance with Article 63 of the Law on Trade Unions and Collective Labor Agreements No. 6356, to postpone the strike decisions taken by the Birleşik Metal-İş Union for sixty days, as they are considered to be of a nature that disrupts national security."
