A handover ceremony was held at the Air Force Command. Air Force Commander General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, who was retired as part of the 2026 Supreme Military Council (YAŞ) decisions, handed over his duties to General Rafet Dalkıran.
Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler also attended the ceremony. In addition to Güler, Chief of General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, Naval Forces Commander Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu, and Land Forces Commander General Metin Tokel were also present at the ceremony.
With the handover, General Rafet Dalkıran has assumed the position of Air Force Commander. Kadıoğlu's retirement took place in accordance with the 2026 YAŞ decisions.
