Erdoğan officially announced: Rental housing program is starting
President Erdoğan shared the details of the massive social housing project at an event held in Istanbul.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements at the Century's Housing Project Program held in Başakşehir, Istanbul. Stating that they are launching one of Turkey's largest social state projects, Erdoğan said, "Together, we will say 'Homeowner Turkey'."
Erdoğan announced that 500 thousand social housing units will be built under the project, and 100 thousand of these units will be located in Istanbul. Stating that a total of 100 thousand housing units will be built on both sides of Istanbul, Erdoğan expressed that a 10 percent quota has been reserved for families with three or more children. He announced that 30 thousand new housing units will be brought to Ankara, 21 thousand to İzmir, 13 thousand to Bursa, Gaziantep, and Konya, and 12 thousand to Hatay and Diyarbakır.
Emphasizing that Başakşehir has a special place in his own political career, Erdoğan said that the foundations of the first mass housing projects in Istanbul were laid here and that this practice set an example for all of Turkey. Erdoğan said, "We are here for the introduction of the Century's Housing Project and we are starting a new era."
