According to information provided by Habertürk columnist Ahmet Kıvanç, the 65-plus pension and disability salaries are determined based on the civil servant salary coefficient. However, the financial need status of individuals applying for these payments is also taken into consideration. The need criterion is determined as the income per person in the household being less than one-third of the net minimum wage.

The need threshold, which is calculated as 5,667 TL based on the current minimum wage, will rise to 7,368 TL with the new minimum wage. In 2025, individuals who did not previously meet the need criterion may fall within this scope with the new minimum wage regulation.

In the first week of January 2025, the rates of increase for civil servant and civil servant retiree salaries will be determined.

With the announcement of the December inflation data by TÜİK, the rate of increase in civil servant and civil servant retiree salaries will also be finalized.
