Attention Istanbul residents! Roads to be closed to vehicle traffic for the 45th Istanbul Marathon have been announced: Some roads will close at 06:00, others at 03:00

The Istanbul Governor's Office has announced the roads that will be closed to vehicle traffic and the alternative routes for the 45th Istanbul Marathon, which will take place on Sunday, November 5, 2023. It was also reported that the closure time for some roads will be 06:00, while others will close at 03:00.

Here are the roads to be closed and the alternative routes:

REGION A AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY ROADS TO BE CLOSED

1. Ragıp Gümüşpala Street

2. Galata Bridge (Will be closed to traffic in both directions),

3. Reşadiye Street (Sirkeci Coastal Road),

4. Ankara Street,

5. Car Ferry entrances,

6. Gülhane Park coastal lower and upper entrances and the road inside Gülhane Park

7. Alayköşkü Street

8. Hagia Sophia Square

9. Alemdar Street

10. At Meydanı Street

11. Divanyolu Street,

12. Cankurtaran (No turns will be allowed from Ahırkapı Street and Ahırkapı Pier Street towards the coast),

13. Çatladıkapı (No turns will be allowed from Aksakal Street and Küçük Ayasofya Street towards the coast),

14. Kumkapı (No exits to the coastal road will be allowed from Kumluk Street, Segah Street, and Işıl Street),

15. Kumkapı and Fish Market exits

16. Gazi Mustafa Kemal Mudurnu variant will be closed towards the coast starting from the turns

17. Namık Kemal Street (Will be closed starting from Küçüklanga Street)

18. Langa Bostan Street

19. Coastal Kennedy Street (Between Sirkeci – Bakırköy)

20. Genç Osman Street will be closed towards the coast starting from the Gazdallar intersection

21. Demirhane Street turns towards Kennedy Street will be closed

22. Beşkardeşler Street, Beşkardeşler 4th Street, and the road from Fişekhane towards coastal Kennedy Street will be closed

23. The direction from Taşhan Street towards Kennedy Street will be closed

24. Entrances to coastal Kennedy Street from Bakırköy Mor Menekşe Street, Ebuziya Street, Banyolar Street, Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil Street and roads will be closed

25. All exits to coastal Kennedy Street from the Ataköy 1st Section and Ataköy 9th Section intersection will be closed

26. Entrances to Rauf Orbay Street from Yeşilyurt Station Street will be closed

27. Entrances to Rauf Orbay Street from Yeşilköy Lighthouse Street and New Airport streets will be closed

28. Rauf Orbay Street (Will be closed starting from the Havuzlu Intersection)

29. The direction to Sirkeci from Atatürk Airport Street (Havuzlu Intersection) will be closed

30. The direction to Sirkeci from Yeşilyurt Station Street (Havuzlu Intersection) will be closed

31. The Eurasia Tunnel will be closed in both directions.

32. Ragıp Gümüşpala Street, Reşadiye Street, Kennedy Street, Rauf Orbay Street, and all roads leading to these streets will be closed in both directions along the coastal line from the Atatürk Boulevard Eminönü junctions to the Havuzlu intersection.

1. Those coming from the Sarıyer direction will be directed to the Zincirlikuyu D-100 North direction.

2. Traffic arriving at the Balmumcu Intersection closure point will be directed towards the Sarıyer direction

3. Traffic coming from the Sarıyer direction will be directed back to Balmumcu or Palangalar Street from the Central Command Lights,

4. Traffic coming from the Ortaköy direction to Beşiktaş Square will be directed along the Old Yıldız Street towards the Barbaros Boulevard Sarıyer direction,

5. Traffic coming from the Bomonti Tunnel direction to Dolmabahçe will be directed behind İstaç towards the Taksim Maçka direction

6. Traffic coming to the Gazhane Street behind the Stadium will be directed behind Süzer Plaza towards Asker Ocağı Street.

7. Those coming from the Mete Intersection will not be sent towards Bedri Karafakihoğlu Street and will be directed to the Divan Intersection,

8. Traffic coming from Gümüşsuyu İnönü Street will be directed back towards the Taksim Square direction in front of MKE.

9. Traffic coming from Akyol Street will not be sent to Mebusan Yokuşu and will be directed towards Bol Ahenk Street or back into Akyol Street.

10. Traffic coming from Boğazkesen Street will not be sent towards Tophane and will be directed to Defterdar Yokuşu.

11. Traffic coming from the Unkapanı Bridge will not be sent to Tershane Street and will be directed to Tarlabaşı Boulevard.

12. Traffic coming from the Tarlabaşı Boulevard Taksim direction will not be sent to Tersane Street and will be directed towards the Unkapanı Bridge direction.

13. Traffic will not be sent from the Şişhane Intersection to Bankalar Street and will be directed towards the Okçu Musa Street direction.

14. Traffic coming from Portakal Yokuşu and Dereboyu Street will be directed towards the Muallim Naci Street - Kuruçeşme direction.

15. Traffic coming from the Palangalar Street direction will be directed towards the Ortaköy Square direction.

16. Traffic coming via Muvakkit Street will be directed towards the Ortaköy Square direction.

1. Kısıklı Street D-100 South road entry over the Altunizade Bridge,

2. Kuşbakışı Street D-100 Highway South entry in front of Petrol-İş,

3. The area between the Şile Road Libadiye Intersection and Kısıklı Street will be closed to traffic,

5. Traffic will not be allowed in both directions towards the Beylerbeyi direction starting from the Gümüşyolu Street Baba Nakkaş Street intersection,
