Kurdish name added to Iğdır Municipality sign
The Iğdır Municipality sign has been renewed. The Kurdish phrase "Şarederiya Îdirê" was added below the "T.C. Iğdır Belediyesi" (Republic of Turkey Iğdır Municipality) text.

Following the election of Mehmet Nuri Güneş from the DEM Party as mayor in the 2024 local elections, the Iğdır Municipality sign has been renewed.
On the new sign, the Kurdish text "Şarederiya Îdirê" was added below the phrase "T.C. Iğdır Belediyesi." This change demonstrates the importance the municipality places on multilingualism.
