The authorized confederation Memur-Sen has issued a statement regarding the provision of "Additional Payments to Protection and Security Officers."

The statement made by the union is as follows:

"We have submitted our letter to the Presidency of Administrative Affairs to resolve the grievances arising from the incomplete interpretation by some public institutions and organizations regarding our 'Additional Payment for Protection and Security Officers' gain, which we have advanced in scope and amount from the 3rd Term Collective Bargaining Agreement to the 7th Term.

Our gain, which we secured through Article 29 of the 7th Term Arbitration Board Decision, adds 10 points to the additional payment rates of personnel in protection and security officer cadres and positions, and an additional 5 points for those serving in armed roles; this has been in effect since the 7th Term Arbitration Board Decision came into force on January 1, 2024.

With the terms 'cadre and position' included in the provision regarding the additional payment for the aforementioned protection and security officers, it was ensured that contract personnel in protection and security officer positions also benefit from this additional payment.

While the aforementioned provision is this clear, the differing interpretations of some public institutions and organizations have caused grievances for contract personnel who have been unable to benefit from our collective bargaining gain in practice.

We have requested from the Presidency of Administrative Affairs that an opinion be issued to public institutions and organizations in order to resolve these differences in application and lack of consensus, to ensure uniformity in practice, and to eliminate the grievances of personnel in protection and security officer cadres and positions."
