Ministry of Health and its affiliated institutions to appoint physicians, dentists, and pharmacists
According to the announcement published in the Official Gazette, applications for initial or re-appointments will be accepted from today until 6:00 PM on October 30, with the lottery draw to be held on November 14.

The Ministry's "2023 3rd Term Initial and Re-appointment Lottery Announcement" has been published in the Official Gazette.
Applications for initial or re-appointments to positions for specialists according to medical specialty legislation, as well as specialist physicians, physicians, specialist dentists, dentists, and pharmacists, to meet the needs of the Ministry of Health, its affiliated institutions, and other public institutions and organizations, will be accepted between October 25 and 30.
For candidates with the title of pharmacist, two separate placements will be made as 1st and 2nd placements, while for other titles and branches, only the 2nd placement process will be applied.
Within the scope of the 1st placement, personnel with the title of "pharmacist" who possess foreign language proficiency and have graduated from specified master's or doctoral programs will be recruited for the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency.
In the 2nd placement, personnel will be recruited for the Ministry of Health, its affiliated institutions, and other public institutions and organizations under the titles of specialist physician, physician, specialist dentist, dentist, specialist pharmacist, and pharmacist.
APPLICATIONS WILL BE RECEIVED VIA THE PBS
Applications for the appointment lottery can be made within the periods specified in the lottery calendar by logging into the Personnel Information System (PBS) located on the website of the Ministry of Health General Directorate of Management Services using the e-Government gateway authentication system.
Candidates applying will fill out the application form electronically via the PBS, save their preferences, and finalize them between the dates specified in the lottery calendar. Once the finalization process is completed, no changes can be made to the application information or preferences.
Candidates with titles and branches other than pharmacist will only be able to make preferences for the 2nd placement and can make a maximum of 10 preferences. While there will be no general lottery option in the 1st placement, candidates who indicate that they wish to be placed via the general lottery in the 2nd placement will be placed in vacant positions via the general lottery if they cannot be placed in their preferences.
Applications via the PBS will be accepted from today until 6:00 PM on October 30. The results of the application evaluation will be announced on the PBS on November 8. The lottery will be held on Tuesday, November 14. The location and time of the lottery will be announced on the General Directorate's website.
Those who have applied for the lottery and wish to cancel their application will be able to cancel their lottery application electronically via the PBS between October 31 and 6:00 PM on November 10.
"65-72 AGE RE-APPOINTMENT LOTTERY ANNOUNCEMENT"
On the other hand, the Ministry of Health's "2023 2nd Term 65-72 Age Re-appointment Lottery Announcement" was also published in the Official Gazette. The announcement recalled the provision in the relevant article of the Basic Law on Health Services No. 3359, which states: "Physicians and specialist physicians working in health institutions and organizations belonging to the Ministry of Health and its affiliated institutions, as well as family physicians employed according to the provisions of the Family Medicine Law No. 5258 dated 24/11/2004, may work until the age of 72, provided that it is deemed appropriate by the Ministry each year."
In this context, placement procedures for the re-employment of physicians and specialist physicians between the ages of 65 and 72 who have previously worked in the Ministry of Health or its affiliated institutions will be carried out by a notary via computer within the framework of the announced calendar.
Applications will be made within the periods specified in the lottery calendar by logging in with the e-Government gateway authentication system via the PBS on the Ministry of Health General Directorate of Management Services website from today until 6:00 PM on October 30.
Physicians and specialist physicians who have completed the age of 65 as of the lottery date and have not yet reached the age of 72, and who have previously worked in the Ministry of Health or its affiliated institutions (physicians who have not completed the age of 65 can apply to other announced open appointment lotteries), as well as physicians and specialist physicians who have continued their duties as contracted family physicians after being retired ex officio due to having completed the age of 65, will be able to apply for this lottery.
The lottery draw for candidates in this group will also be held on November 14.
