The General Directorate of the Mint and Stamp Printing House has decided to extend the application deadline for the UTTS to January 31 and the installation deadline to April 30. This extension is expected to facilitate the integration of fuel dealers into the system and alleviate the difficulties encountered. However, PÜİS Chairman İmran Okumuş pointed out that this additional time might not always be sufficient.
WHY DID THE SYSTEM CHANGE?
The National Vehicle Recognition System is a system developed to ensure greater transparency in fuel sales and to prevent tax losses.
This system aims to prevent potential abuses by eliminating the manual entry of vehicle license plates into the system. However, the installation of the system, costs, and the adaptation process posed a major challenge, especially for small stations.
FINANCIAL AND SUPPORTIVE SOLUTIONS FOR SMALL BUSINESSES
As a result of the intensive efforts of PÜİS, an agreement was reached with the Mint. According to this agreement, vehicle nozzle readers will be provided to fuel dealers free of charge, and adjustments will be made to payment plans.
In addition, public support will be provided to enable small stations to be included in the system, contributing to the resolution of imbalances in the sector.
