Police Academy to recruit 3,250 students for PMYO: Applications to be held August 7-13

The Police Academy Presidency has announced that a total of 3,250 students will be recruited for the Police Vocational Schools (PMYO) for the 2026-2027 academic year.

According to the 25th Term PMYO Entrance Exam announcement, 2,560 of the quota are reserved for male candidates and 630 for female candidates. A quota of 60 has also been set for the spouses and children of martyrs or those disabled in the line of duty.

Candidates will be able to submit their preliminary applications via the Police Academy's official website using their e-Government passwords between August 7 and August 13, 2026.

To apply, candidates must be graduates of high school or an equivalent institution. Additionally, a minimum raw score of 250 in the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) will be required. For the spouses and children of martyrs and those disabled in the line of duty, the base score will be applied as 200.

The announcement also included requirements for age, height, and body mass index. Accordingly, candidates must have been born between January 1, 2001, and October 1, 2008. Female candidates must be at least 162 centimeters tall, and male candidates must be at least 167 centimeters tall. Candidates will be required to have a body mass index between 18 and 27.

Following the completion of preliminary applications, candidates numbering 10 times the quota will be selected to participate in the examination stages. The examination fee and account information will be announced on the Police Academy's website after the preliminary application results are released.

Candidates who are successful in the examination stages and the training process will be appointed as police officers.
