Private Sector Teachers continue protests during the holiday

Continuing their 'education vigil' protest in front of the TBMM during Eid al-Adha to demand base salaries and secure working conditions, private sector teachers addressed Minister of National Education Tekin, stating, 'We are at the end of our patience.'

Educators working in private educational institutions have been holding a vigil for 22 days to ensure that base salaries are guaranteed under the Teaching Profession Law (ÖMK) and to secure their professional rights.

'WE ARE AT THE END OF OUR PATIENCE'

Educators who are members of the Private Sector Teachers' Union, who did not pause their protests during Eid al-Adha, sent a message of determination in their struggle with the vigil they are holding at the Çankaya gate of the Parliament in Ankara. In a post shared on the union's social media account, "We are on the 22nd day of our vigil in Ankara! We are spending the first day of the holiday at our Education Vigil at the TBMM Çankaya gate, in pursuit of our rights. Our lesson is in Ankara!" it was stated.

In the post addressing Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin and the Ministry, "We cannot be with our families during the holiday, Yusuf Tekin, do you know why? Because there is no holiday for us! We are at the end of our patience," were the expressions used.
