With a decision published in the Official Gazette under the signature of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Fatin Rüştü Karakaş has been reappointed as President of the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF), and Yunus Öksüzömer has been reappointed as a member.

According to the appointment decisions published in the Official Gazette, AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has reappointed Fatin Rüştü Karakaş as President of the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) Board, and Yunus Öksüzömer as a member.
Fatin Rüştü Karakaş was born in Rize in 1968. A graduate of the Department of Finance at Marmara University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Karakaş completed his master's degree in Money and Banking at Istanbul University. Karakaş began his career in 1992 as an Assistant Inspector at Şekerbank and held various positions at the bank until 2013. In January of that same year, he served as Secretary General at the Şekerbank T.A.Ş. Personnel Supplementary Social Security and Assistance Fund Foundation, and in November, he was promoted to Executive Vice President of Şekerbank T.A.Ş.
After serving for a time as a Board Member at the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK), Karakaş was appointed as a TMSF Board Member in 2019.
