Published in the Official Gazette: New appointment decisions from Erdoğan

Appointment and dismissal decisions regarding certain ministries and institutions have been published in the Official Gazette.

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, according to the appointment decisions published with his signature, Levent Yazıcı, Department Head at the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs (NVİ), was appointed as the Head of the GAMER Department at the Security and Emergency Coordination Center (GAMER) Presidency; İbrahim Dündar, Department Head at the NVİ General Directorate, as Deputy General Director of NVİ; Mehmet Levent Kepçeli, Department Head at the NVİ General Directorate, as Deputy General Director of NVİ; Mehmet Gökhan Zengin, Department Head at the General Directorate of Personnel, as Deputy General Director of Personnel; and Mehmet Parlak, Department Head at the Presidency of Migration Management, as Head of the Department of Internal Security Strategies.

Additionally, deputy governors were appointed to 20 provinces and district governors to 127 districts.

With the decision dated August 23, 2023, and numbered 2023/388, the provisions regarding the appointments of Onur Titiz from Kiraz District Governor in İzmir to Nurdağı District Governor in Gaziantep, Mehmet Kılıç from Doğanşehir District Governor in Malatya to Pazaryolu District Governor in Erzurum, Hikmet Dengeşik from Deputy Governor of İzmir to Deputy Governor of Manisa, Aziz Mercan from Deputy Governor of Yalova to Deputy Governor of Bolu, Kenan Eskin from Deputy Governor of Malatya to Deputy Governor of Çorum, and Mehmet Keklik from Deputy Governor of Afyonkarahisar to Deputy Governor of Niğde were canceled.

Again, with the same date and numbered decision, the provision regarding the appointment of Rıza Gençoğlu from Deputy Governor of Kahramanmaraş to Deputy Governor of Sakarya was also canceled, and he was appointed as Deputy Governor of Bursa.
