Türkiye Kamu-Sen President Önder Kahveci made demands at the Public Personnel Advisory Board meeting held at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

EMPHASIS ON 3600 ADDITIONAL INDICATOR

Kahveci stated that these demands would contribute to solving the problems faced by civil servants and ensure they achieve the working and living conditions they deserve. Problems and expectations of public employees: All other public employees who have reached the 1st degree, especially chiefs, should also benefit from the 3600 additional indicator regulation. In addition, grievances that have arisen for those who were appointed to positions such as researchers, where the additional indicator is set below 3600 after having served in positions where the additional indicator was raised to 3600, must also be resolved.
Demands include;

  • Improving the social rights of public employees and retirees,
  • Meeting personnel needs to effectively provide basic public services such as education, health, and justice, and regulating the salaries of employed personnel in a fair manner,
  • Ensuring job security and improving working conditions,
  • Strengthening union rights and effectively managing collective bargaining processes,
Meeting these expectations is important for increasing the welfare level of public employees and ensuring their motivation. Furthermore, these demands are also necessary for ensuring economic and social justice. Changes within a fair process: Personnel and retirees outside of civil servants in the public sector receive a holiday bonus before every Ramadan and Eid al-Adha. This right does not apply to civil servants. This situation creates a major injustice.

CHANGES WITHIN A FAIR PROCESS

Holiday bonuses must also be provided to all public employees working outside of civil servant status in public institutions and organizations. One of the changes that can be made regarding this issue is amending the law on unions. The power and authority of unions should be increased. Unions must be able to fight more effectively to defend the rights of public employees and eliminate this injustice.
