Türkiye Petrolleri's permits extended for two more years

The decision to extend the oil exploration permit period of Türkiye Petrolleri A.O. in certain provinces for another 2 years has been published in the Official Gazette.

Türkiye Petrolleri A.O. General Directorate's oil exploration licenses that had expired in the provinces of Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Diyarbakır, Batman, and Siirt have been extended for two more years.

EXTENDED FOR A PERIOD OF TWO YEARS

The decisions stated for the 5 provinces that "in order to determine the hydrocarbon potential of the region and contribute it to the national economy, it has been decided to extend the oil exploration license periods for a period of two years from 23.09.2023 to 23.09.2025, in accordance with the sixth paragraph of Article 6 of the Turkish Petroleum Law No. 6491."

DECISION PUBLISHED IN THE OFFICIAL GAZETTE

The text of the decision is as follows:

''Following the examination of the documents regarding the extension of the period for the General Directorate of Türkiye Petrolleri A.O. and the determination of their compliance with the provisions of the Turkish Petroleum Law No. 6491 and the Turkish Petroleum Law Implementation Regulation in terms of formal and essential conditions, it has been decided to extend the duration of the oil exploration license with sheet number AR/TPO/K/F19-a4 for a period of two years from 23.09.2023 to 23.09.2025, in order to determine the hydrocarbon potential of the region and contribute it to the national economy, in accordance with the sixth paragraph of Article 6 of the Turkish Petroleum Law No. 6491.''
