Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu has announced that the process has been initiated for the Pertek Bridge, planned to be built over the Keban Dam Lake.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made a statement regarding the Pertek Bridge Project, which is planned to provide a direct road connection between Elazığ and Tunceli. The bridge, which is envisioned to be built over the Keban Dam Lake, aims to make transportation between the two provinces uninterrupted.
Uraloğlu stated that the project is planned to allow for an uninterrupted road crossing of the Keban Dam Lake, which was formed on the Euphrates River, and said, "With the Pertek Bridge, planned to allow for an uninterrupted road crossing of the Keban Dam Lake built on the Euphrates River between Elazığ and Tunceli, we will establish an uninterrupted road connection between the two provinces."
According to the Ministry's statement, the project will consist of two approach bridges and a special cable-stayed bridge system. It was reported that the main bridge is designed with a cable-stayed bridge system.
Noting that the investment program process for the project has been initiated, Uraloğlu stated that the construction phase will be moved into in line with budget possibilities. Uraloğlu stated, "We anticipate that the project will be completed within 5-6 years once the construction process begins."
With the completion of the Pertek Bridge, it is expected that direct transportation will be provided between Elazığ and Tunceli over the Keban Dam Lake, economic and social mobility in the region will increase, and transportation opportunities will improve in various fields, primarily tourism and trade.
