Wage offer for public sector workers updated

Negotiations for the 2025 Public Collective Bargaining Framework Agreement, which will determine the salary increases for workers employed in public institutions such as highways, railways, power plants, ministries, universities, and hospitals, are ongoing. During this process, an unexpected meeting was held between TÜHİS, which represents the government, and worker representatives.

At the meeting, a wage increase offer of 24 percent for the first six months, 11 percent for the second six months, 10 percent for the third six months, and 6 percent for the fourth six months was proposed to the workers. Furthermore, it was proposed that if inflation rates in the six-month periods exceed these offered raise rates, the difference should be added to the next raise rate.

The initial six-month raise rate, which was initially proposed at 17 percent, was increased by 7 points to 24 percent. The offer of 10 percent for the second six months was increased by 1 point to 11 percent, the offer of 7 percent for the third six months was increased by 3 points to 10 percent, and the offer of 5 percent for the fourth six months was increased by 1 point to 6 percent.
