The new report of the US-based defense industry list, Defense News Top 100, has been released. 5 companies from Turkey have made it onto the list of the world's top 100 defense industry companies.

The number of Turkish companies in the "Defense News Top 100," considered the world's most prestigious US-based defense industry list, has risen to 5.
Among the Turkish companies, ASELSAN ranked highest on the Defense News Top 100 at 42nd place. TUSAŞ ranked 50th, Roketsan 71st, the Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE) 84th, and ASFAT 94th.
While 4 Turkish companies were on the list in 2023, the Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE) appeared on the list for the first time this year.
RANKINGS IMPROVED COMPARED TO LAST YEAR
ASELSAN, which was in 47th place last year, rose to 42nd; TUSAŞ, which was in 58th place, rose to 50th; and ASFAT, which was in 100th place, rose to 94th. Thus, all Turkish companies on the list improved their rankings compared to last year.
The top 10 of the list included 6 companies from the US, 3 from China, and 1 from the United Kingdom.
While Lockheed Martin maintained its top position, it was followed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China and RTX.
In the list where Northrop Grumman ranked 4th and General Dynamics 5th, Boeing secured the 6th spot.
BAE Systems ranked 7th, China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited 8th, China North Industries Group Corporation Limited 9th, and L3Harris Technologies 10th.

In his statement on the subject, President of Defense Industries Haluk Görgün stated that the Turkish defense industry is growing, developing, strengthening, and rising every day.
Stating that they have shown the whole world that Turkey is now an important actor in the league of giants with its broad, qualified, and dynamic ecosystem, systems proven in the field, and ever-growing export potential, Görgün noted the following:

"According to the results of the research conducted by Defense News, 2 of our companies are in the top 50 and a total of 5 of our companies are in the top 100 among the world's largest 100 companies.
