An important tender process that will establish the infrastructure for 5G technology in Turkey has begun. The country's leading GSM operators, Turkcell, Türk Telekom, and Vodafone, are participating in the tender held at the headquarters of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) in Ankara.
This tender involves the allocation of a total of 400 MHz of frequency in the 700 MHz and 3.5 GHz frequency bands. The companies participating in the tender will make strategic moves to acquire 11 different frequency packages. The starting value of the tender has been set at 2 billion 125 million dollars.
