9 new features from Google: An update to make your phone more functional!

Google has announced a new, free update as part of the Mobile World Congress. With this update, nine new features will be offered to users.

Google's announcement states that the update includes innovations that make existing smartphones more functional. Some of the features offered focus on enhancing the WearOS and Android Auto experience.

It was stated that directions via Google Maps on WearOS will now be possible. This will allow users to follow directions on their smartwatches without having to look at their phones for navigation.

GEMINI IS COMING TO GOOGLE MESSAGES

Gemini will now be available in Google Messages to improve the messaging experience. Additionally, the Lookout feature, developed for those with visual impairments, will allow for the reading of AI-generated captions for media.

For Android users, Android Auto's new AI capability will summarize text messages and allow them to be answered with quick replies. Fitbit is being made compatible with other fitness apps, gathering all health data in one place.

While the ability to add handwritten notes to Google Docs is being introduced, it is also noted that the capabilities of Google Wallet are being increased, alongside broadcast controls for Spotify. Changes are also being made regarding accessibility for Google Lens in Maps. Furthermore, you will be able to read all important information with the TalkBack feature.

Google emphasized that while rolling out these new features, they may not reach every user at the same time and that phones must be kept up to date to receive the innovations.
