Advertising Board fines Hepsiburada 1.7 million TL
The Advertising Board has imposed a significant fine on the popular shopping application Hepsiburada on the grounds of 'deceptive campaigns'.

The Advertising Board, operating under the Ministry of Trade, has issued a fine to Hepsiburada, citing that the discounts displayed as part of its "Legendary November" campaign were non-compliant.
HEAVY FINE FOR DECEPTIVE CAMPAIGN
The Advertising Board stated that the campaigns Hepsiburada showcased as part of its Legendary November were deceptive. According to the bulletin published by the Board, Hepsiburada was hit with an administrative fine of "1 million 735 thousand 640 TL" due to 10 different deceptive campaigns in total.
It was determined that the campaigns identified as misleading violated the "lowest price of the last 30 days" rule, included products without actual discounts, and failed to disclose the duration and stock quantities prior to the discounts.
The 10 campaigns by Hepsiburada that were found to be misleading and resulted in fines as part of the Legendary November event are as follows:
- Legendary Friday November 20-26 super prices on Huawei phones and accessories
- Don't miss the legendary discounts on legendary products
- 11% net legendary discount on small electrical home appliances
- Legendary discounts on electronic products that come once a year
- Super deals on best-selling pet shop products.
- 15% net discount in the cart in addition to all discounts
- 20% net discount in the cart on Fairy dishwashing detergents
- Philips Brand Days campaign
- 25% net discount in the cart on Madame Coco home and living products
- 25% discount in the cart on selected paper products
- Coupon rain deals on mattresses
