Mia Zelu, who has reached over 165 thousand followers on Instagram, has recently dominated the social media agenda. Her posts, which appeared to be from the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament, quickly garnered significant attention. However, it was soon realized that Zelu is actually an artificial intelligence product.

Zelu made users believe she was a real influencer with poses of her sitting at Centre Court and drinking. Thousands of comments were left under these images, which reached over 40 thousand likes. She created such a realistic impression that even famous Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant was fooled. Once the truth was revealed, Pant had to delete all the likes and comments he had made.

The expressions Mia Zelu used in her posts were also extremely close to reality. Asking, “What was your favorite match at Wimbledon?” Zelu generated engagement in another post with the words, “I still haven’t recovered from the impact of the event… but the real fun was at the party.”

While the people behind the account continue to keep their identities hidden, it is stated that Mia Zelu is an “AI storyteller.” It was also reported that she has a sister named “Ana,” also created by AI, who has reached 266 thousand followers.

Although it is clearly stated on the profile that Mia Zelu is not a real person, many users are still trying to communicate with the character. In fact, this illusion has reached such dimensions that Zelu is even receiving marriage proposals.

This development has once again revealed the power of artificial intelligence on social media and how the boundaries between reality and fiction are increasingly blurring in the digital world.
