Google's new operating system, Android 15, is in the spotlight due to an unexpected issue: it is crashing the Instagram app!
Users who have installed the update are experiencing problems such as being unable to switch between Stories and the app freezing randomly.
Many Android users, particularly those with Pixel 8 Pro devices running Android 15, are reporting that they are experiencing issues with the Instagram app.
THERE IS A TEMPORARY SOLUTION
Users state that version 352.1.0.41.100 of the Instagram app is not compatible with Android 15.
To resolve the issue, it is necessary to download an updated version of the Instagram app (353.1.0.47.90). However, this updated version has not yet been released on the Google Play Store.
Users are forced to download the APK file of the app and install it manually to fix the problem.
Users who do not wish to perform an APK installation must wait for the updated Instagram app to arrive on the Google Play Store. However, in its current state, using Instagram on a device running Android 15 is quite difficult.
Google and Instagram have not yet made an official statement regarding this issue caused by the Android 15 update.
It remains unclear when the issue will be resolved and when the updated Instagram app will be released on the Play Store.
