Apple's foldable phone price tag to set a new record
While Apple's first foldable phone is creating excitement in the tech world, its high price has become a subject of curiosity. The price for the top-tier model could exceed 145,000 TL.

Apple's long-rumored foldable smartphone has begun to dominate the tech agenda ahead of the launch event to be held on Wednesday, September 9. In a report by the Taiwan-based analysis firm TrendForce, important information regarding the device's price range and prominent technical details was shared with the public.
The foldable model's price in the United States is expected to be in the range of 2,099 dollars (approximately 101,000 TL) to 2,299 dollars (approximately 111,368 TL). For higher-tier packages, it would not be surprising if the price exceeds the 3,000 dollar level (around 145,000 TL). With this, the new device is a candidate to become the most expensive smartphone in Apple's history, surpassing the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which has a starting price of 1,199 dollars.
The model, referred to as the iPhone Ultra, is expected to push the boundaries in the luxury segment with both its hardware and price. Sources close to the company state that the phone will feature a 5.5-inch external OLED screen along with a 7.8-inch internal OLED screen with 120 Hz ProMotion technology.
It is stated that the device will draw its power from the A20 Pro processor, developed with TSMC's 2-nanometer production technology. Additionally, it is noted that along with 12 GB of RAM, the storage capacity could start at 256 GB and go up to 2 TB.
An ambitious setup also stands out in the camera department: along with a 24-megapixel front camera, there will be two 48-megapixel wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle cameras on the back. Regarding security, the device is expected to be supported by Touch ID technology.
