Ülker has deployed 20 autonomous mobile robots at its Gebze factory. According to the company's statement, Ülker, which aims to effectively utilize digitalization and technology in its business processes, has made a new technology investment at its Gebze facility.

Developed in accordance with the factory's infrastructure, the 20 autonomous mobile robots have begun working to supply raw materials and goods within the factory. The robots act according to requests entered into the system by the facility operator, picking up materials from the warehouse and delivering them to specified points.

Capable of making 150 trips a day and covering 53 kilometers, the robots can move along a 2-kilometer route in different sections of the factory. Performing tasks such as calling elevators and loading, the robots return to the charging station to wait for new requests after completing their tasks.

Ülker CEO Mete Buyurgan stated that they continue to effectively use digitalization and technology in their business processes. Expressing that 20 autonomous mobile robots developed in collaboration with Arçelik and SK Robotik have been put into service at the Gebze factory, Buyurgan emphasized that they have taken a significant step regarding efficiency, simplification and acceleration of processes, cost control, and sustainability with these robots.

Furthermore, stating that they are focusing on technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation, big data analytics, and the internet of things, and that they will continue their investments in these areas, Buyurgan expressed that they will continue to accelerate their digitalization projects.
