In a case heard at a federal court in Oakland, California, a nine-person jury did not find merit in the accusations Elon Musk leveled against OpenAI's top executives. According to reports in the US media, the jury also concluded that the statute of limitations for the case had expired.
Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, who oversaw the case, finalized the jury's decision and invalidated Musk's claims. Throughout the hearings, prominent figures such as Sam Altman, Greg Brockman, and Satya Nadella, as well as Musk, testified before the court.
In the lawsuit he filed in 2024, Musk had accused OpenAI's founding team of abandoning the company's mission to "benefit humanity" in pursuit of personal and corporate gain. It is known that in his lawsuit petition, Musk accused Altman and his team of "breach of trust." After a three-week trial, the jury ruled that the claims put forward by Musk did not have legal standing.
