Can artificial intelligence surpass human intelligence? A date has been set

Renowned futurist Ray Kurzweil has predicted that artificial intelligence will be the harbinger of an era in the near future that will enable the emergence of hybrid humans capable of reversing aging.

Google engineer Kurzweil gained fame for his 2005 book "The Singularity Is Near," in which he predicted that the technological singularity would occur around 2045. In his new book, "The Singularity is Nearer: When We Merge with AI," Kurzweil has updated his previous predictions and detailed his views on how artificial intelligence technology could biologically transform humans.

Speaking on a recent episode of the "Joe Rogan Experience" podcast, Kurzweil expressed his belief that artificial intelligence will surpass human intelligence by the end of this decade. However, he added, "We're not quite there, but by 2029, it will be a match for any person."

According to a report by Independent Türkçe, one of those who finds Dr. Kurzweil's predictions on artificial intelligence conservative is Elon Musk. Regarding his AI company xAI, which he founded last year, Musk stated, "AI will probably be smarter than any single human by next year."

According to Kurzweil, by 2029, artificial intelligence will likely be smarter than all humans combined.

Computer scientist Kurzweil believes that one of the revolutionary changes artificial intelligence will bring to society in the near future is the ability to reverse human aging. Kurzweil explained, "Within 5 years, by 2029, one of the things I think will happen is that we will reach longevity escape velocity. Right now, a year passes and you use up one year of your life. So you age one more year. On the other hand, scientific progress is advancing exponentially, and by 2029, you will gain back a full year... After 2029, you will actually gain back more than a year."
