Chrome extension that converts Steam prices from dollars to TL for free

Steam had made an announcement that included Turkey. According to this, games on the platform would be priced in dollars. The process, which began on November 20, resulted in price hikes for many games.

This price hike manifests as follows: A person who could normally purchase Baldur's Gate 3 for 799 TL now has to pay 34.99 dollars. At the current exchange rate (November 23), a payment of 1,006 TL is required. The change in currency type appears to have automatically subjected games to such a price increase.

A new Google Chrome extension has been released for those who have difficulty following the dollar exchange rate but still want to actively learn the TL equivalent of games. Thanks to this extension, it becomes possible to see the Turkish Lira equivalent of games listed in dollars.

Arda Bayram, who released the TRY Converter extension they developed via his X account, thanks ChatGPT, @emirhanwsd, @kodbilenadam, and @malik_yasar for this extension they published in a short time.

The extension, which is offered for free, is currently actively converting game prices from the dollar exchange rate to TL, but there are also issues that need to be resolved. Since there is a discount process specifically starting on Steam, the prices of games in the personal recommendations section are not converted. Also, because it cannot be integrated, the exchange rate difference is updated every 2-3 days.

These listed issues are expected to be resolved in the coming days.
