Critical security vulnerability discovered in Apple Vision Pro!

A PhD student from MIT has managed to discover a kernel security vulnerability in the Apple Vision Pro, and it has been reported that this flaw was exploited from day one. Apple is expected to release an update soon to patch the vulnerability in question.

It is common for new hardware to become a target for hackers upon its release. While the recently introduced Apple Vision Pro stands out as the latest in technology, software developers have quickly identified a flaw in the device. In other words, the Apple Vision Pro was hacked on its first day.

Joseph Ravichandran, a PhD student in microarchitecture security at MIT, claimed to have discovered a critical kernel security vulnerability in VisionOS, the operating system of the Vision Pro. This indicates that the Vision Pro could be vulnerable to jailbreaking and malware.

According to the information shared by Ravichandran, when the vulnerability in question is exploited, the Vision Pro displays a warning saying, "Take off the device," and the message "Your device needs to be restarted. The screen will go dark in 30 seconds" appears. A log file related to unauthorized access can also be found in the Privacy and Security settings of the Vision Pro.
