CrowdStrike explains the cause of the error that sent the world to the blue screen

The statement, which noted that a bug in the quality control tool used to check updates for errors caused the faulty update to be released, stated, "Due to a bug in the content validator, one of the two template instances passed validation despite containing problematic content data."
The global software issue, which affected many sectors due to a disconnect between the update from CrowdStrike, which provides cybersecurity services to Microsoft, and the Microsoft operating system, had negatively impacted life in many parts of the world since Friday.
Microsoft had reported that the global software issue was estimated to have affected 8.5 million Windows devices.
CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz had apologized to customers and partners for the issue.
The U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security had summoned CrowdStrike CEO Kurtz to testify before Congress yesterday.
