The URL address of X, one of the world's most popular social media platforms with millions of users, has changed.

The platform, formerly known as Twitter, will now be accessed via the "x.com" extension.

However, users can still access it via the "twitter.com" URL address. When users log in with the "twitter.com" extension, they are automatically redirected to the "x.com" address.

At the bottom of the X login page, the message "We are letting you know that we are changing our URL, but your privacy and data protection settings remain the same" is displayed.

The URL change in question was also announced by X owner Elon Musk in a post.

Twitter's name was changed to X after it was acquired by American businessman Elon Musk, but there had been no change to the URL address for a long time.

Although many elements, including X's official account, mobile applications, and "X Premium" (formerly known as Blue) subscriptions, had transitioned to the new brand long ago, the platform's URLs had remained "twitter.com" ever since Musk officially initiated the transition to X.
