Elon Musk to Tesla employees: Sleep at the factory

Elon Musk has offered some advice to employees regarding the new affordable Tesla model. He used striking language regarding production targets.

It is known that Tesla is working on an affordable electric car. The company, led by Elon Musk, is in an effort to accelerate the production process of the new vehicle. While stating that he wants very fast production at the factory, Elon Musk told Tesla employees to consider the possibility of sleeping at the factory.

In line with Tesla's plans to launch its most affordable electric vehicle, Musk shared a series of recommendations for employees. The company, which aims to grow in the European and Chinese markets, emphasizes that the affordable car needs to be released soon. Musk stated that it is necessary for personnel, especially those working at the Texas Gigafactory, to live and sleep on the production line.

Tesla's affordable model, referred to as the "Redwood" project, is expected to enter production towards the end of 2025. However, Musk expressed the difficulties encountered in transitioning new technologies to mass production and that these challenges must be overcome for the affordable vehicle.

According to previous reports, Elon Musk visited the Gigafactory Berlin in Germany to receive information about the work being done there. Emphasizing that a larger share of the low-cost electric car market should be captured, Musk shared the idea of sleeping at the factory with employees.

Addressing investors, Musk said, "We will practically sleep on the factory floor. Not practically, we will be," he stated. It is noted that the vehicle codenamed Redwood will play a critical role in Tesla reaching its annual 50 percent growth target. This step comes especially after BYD surpassed Tesla to become the world's largest electric car manufacturer.
