Galaxy S27 leak: Large camera island stands out in Samsung's new design
Case images allegedly belonging to the Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra have shown that Samsung may be making a significant change to its rear design.

New leaks regarding the Galaxy S27 series, which is expected to be introduced by Samsung at the beginning of 2027, have indicated that the company may change the rear camera design that has been a staple of its flagship models for a long time.
In the case images claimed to be compatible with the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra, it can be seen that the cameras are gathered in a large and raised rectangular area on the upper part of the phone. This design departs from the individual camera rings and the simpler vertical layout approach that Samsung has used in recent years.
It was reported that the leak set, which is stated to consist of approximately 40 images, also bears similarities to previously surfaced CAD drawings. For this reason, although the images have not yet been officially confirmed, they are considered important clues regarding the design language of the Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra.
CAMERA ISLAND AND ACCESSORY SUPPORT STAND OUT
The most striking element in the leaks is that the camera units are gathered on a large “island.” Comments are being made that this look is reminiscent of the camera island on the iPhone 17 Pro family. While the Pro and Ultra models are expected to come with a similar rear design, it is stated that the standard Galaxy S27 and S27+ models may maintain the current design language.
It is also suggested that the new camera layout may not be just a visual change. According to the claims, the arrangement in the rear design could facilitate the addition of built-in magnets to the body for Qi2-compatible accessories. In this scenario, users will be able to use some magnetic accessories without the need for a special case.
It is claimed that the Galaxy S27 Pro could offer hardware close to the Ultra model in a smaller body and without S Pen support. Furthermore, other leaks reported by SamMobile indicate that there may be differences in the optical zoom capabilities of the Pro and Ultra models.
There has been no official statement from Samsung regarding the design or technical specifications of the Galaxy S27 series. For this reason, there is a possibility that the details revealed in the case images could change by the time of the launch.
