Modding communities continue to create wonders by pushing boundaries further every day. The greatest example of this is undoubtedly Cyberpunk 2077, which managed to challenge even the RTX 4090 with the RT Overdrive mod released last year. Now, a brand-new video has been shared of the 8K DreamPunk 2.1 mod, which aims to achieve photorealistic graphical quality in the game.
CYBERPUNK 2077 AND PHOTOREALISM COMBINED
As you know, Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most visually impressive games you can play on PC, thanks to the Phantom Liberty expansion and technologies like Path Tracing and DLSS. Moreover, one should not forget the mod support. Among these, NextGen Dreams has shared an eye-catching video of the updated version of the DreamPunk mod.
The result published on YouTube looks breathtaking. In addition to Cyberpunk 2077's revamped graphics, it would be accurate to say that it looks "photorealistic" in reflections and shadows with path tracing.
However, it should be noted that the mod's Path Traced lighting mode runs on an RTX 4090 in addition to 8K resolution and DLSS 3.7.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One. Furthermore, since the development of the game has concluded, it continues to grow, especially with the support of modders.
On the other hand, let us note that CD Projekt is laying the groundwork for Project Orion, a new game that will take place in the Cyberpunk universe.
