New feature on Google Maps: It has started showing the location of police
Google Maps has removed the feature that showed drivers the location of speed cameras. Instead, a "Police" option is now available. Users will be able to share not only radar zones but also all police checkpoints.

Google has removed the speed camera display feature it added to its Maps application in recent months.
Google Maps allows users to share situations they encounter on the road, such as construction, accidents, and lane closures, with other drivers.
The "Speed Trap" notification previously offered under this feature is no longer in use. With the latest update, Google has changed this option to "Police".
Now, users will be able to share not only speed cameras but also areas where all police units are located. Police notifications have become accessible on all platforms, including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as the mobile app.
After acquiring the navigation app Waze, Google had incorporated Waze's popular Speed Camera alert feature into Google Maps.
IS GOOGLE MAPS BANNED?
Following Google Maps' move to start showing radar points, many drivers began to wonder whether this was legal. Since no official statement has been made, there are currently no penalties or sanctions regarding the use of the application.
