Google has announced a significant change in the digital assistant market, stating that it will end Google Assistant. By the end of 2025, Google Assistant will be replaced by the AI-based Gemini on all supported devices.

This move is part of Google's goal to further enhance the AI-based assistant experience. Currently, Android users are offered a choice between Google Assistant and Gemini, but this option will end by the end of 2025, and Gemini will become mandatory.

WHICH DEVICES WILL GEMINI COME TO?

Google plans to integrate Gemini not only into smartphones but also into all platforms where Google Assistant is currently present, such as cars and wearable devices. However, not all Android devices will be affected by this change. Only devices with the capacity to run Gemini will be able to use this new AI assistant. On older devices, support for Google Assistant will be terminated.

GOOGLE GEMINI AND DEEP RESEARCH TECHNOLOGY

Google continues to develop Gemini constantly and recently announced significant innovations regarding this AI model. One of these is the Deep Research system.

Deep Research has been launched with support for 45 different languages and is introduced as a "personal research assistant." Google made the following statement regarding this system:

  • It breaks down the topic you want into several relevant research questions.
  • It automatically analyzes websites to reach the necessary information.
  • It allows you to conduct comprehensive research by providing in-depth information in every field.

This feature moves Gemini beyond being just a voice assistant, turning it into an advanced AI tool that enables users to obtain more detailed information in their daily lives.
