Google is warning users not to share personal or sensitive information during conversations with its artificial intelligence model, Gemini. Having rebranded its AI model Bard to Gemini, Google is making significant investments in this model, which it is integrating into every one of its products. Gemini aims to make users' work easier by providing more accurate information and task-oriented conversations compared to GPT-4.

However, users tend to share personal information in their conversations with these AI models because they assume these models lack human-like judgment capabilities. Google is issuing a warning against sharing personal information in conversations with Gemini.

Google uses trained reviewers to examine these conversations for the purpose of improving the service. While these reviewers do not see personal information such as users' email addresses or phone numbers, they do evaluate the content of the conversations. Google stores this data for up to 3 years if users do not delete their conversations. Therefore, it is important not to share your personal and sensitive information with Gemini.

It is possible to prevent this by pausing Gemini activity, but this does not completely solve the issue. This is because Google states that conversations are still recorded for 72 hours after deletion for security and privacy purposes. For this reason, it is important to be cautious to protect your personal and sensitive information.
