A historic achievement: Turkish artists send AI artwork to the Moon!

Turkish art studio Ouchhh has achieved the milestone of becoming the first studio in the field of digital art production to send an AI data artwork to the Moon.

The work titled "Human Cell Atlas", created by Ouchhh Studio co-founders Ferdi Alıcı and Eylül Duranağaç Alıcı, landed on the Moon in recent weeks aboard a SpaceX rocket. The piece, which had its world premiere at Art Dubai, will remain on the lunar surface forever and will also be exhibited in many art capitals, including Istanbul.

Ferdi Alıcı stated that the "Human Cell Atlas" project is the world's largest dataset regarding the human body, consisting of 32 trillion human cells. This dataset aims to make significant contributions to scientific research. Using this massive dataset, Ouchhh Studio created an artistic portrait of humanity through artificial intelligence.

Alıcı noted that when they received an invitation regarding the SpaceX rocket scheduled for a lunar mission, they had already completed the project. He stated that the "Human Cell Atlas" piece was mounted onto the rocket that landed on the lunar surface, and that Turks were the first to achieve the feat of placing an AI-generated artwork on the Moon.

Emphasizing that the work was first exhibited globally at Art Dubai after landing on the Moon, Alıcı stated that it would subsequently be displayed in various major cities around the world and that a special edition would be created for Istanbul.

Ouchhh Studio has created approximately 75 public art projects in many cities, including Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, Rome, Moscow, Prague, Brussels, and Hong Kong.

Art Dubai announced that 25 percent of the proceeds from all ticket sales would be donated to support civilians in Gaza through the United Arab Emirates Red Crescent Society. The fair, which concluded today, received great interest from art enthusiasts.
