iPhone XS quietly says goodbye: Added to the vintage list

Apple has officially added the iPhone XS model, which it introduced in 2018 and which received great interest at the time, to its "vintage" product list. With this step, the iPhone XS is slowly beginning to turn into a nostalgic symbol in the tech world.

According to Apple's product strategy, a device enters "vintage" status five years after it is taken off the market. This status indicates that the device can still be repaired; however, this is only possible provided that the necessary spare parts are available. When the supply of parts ends, the device is moved to the "obsolete" product category and falls outside the scope of technical support.

IPHONE XS IS QUIETLY RETIRING

Although the iPhone XS, introduced in September 2018, was discontinued just one year later, it continued to be sold in various countries for a long time. As of today, the model, which meets Apple's five-year criterion, has officially entered the "vintage" product list. This indicates that it will move to the "obsolete" category, meaning it will be completely unsupported, within approximately two years. On the other hand, the iPhone XS Max model was added to this list a few months ago.

Although the iPhone XS did not offer radical differences in design from its predecessor, the iPhone X, it stood out with its more powerful A12 Bionic processor, improved camera features, and dual SIM support. The XS Max model, with its 6.5-inch screen, had drawn attention as Apple's largest-screen iPhone up to that time.
