Long-awaited features coming to WhatsApp: Unwanted messages to be blocked

WhatsApp, one of the most popular messaging applications, is working on two new features. By improving spam message blocking and status like management, the company aims to make the inbox more organized with the new update.
According to the report in T24, WhatsApp is developing a new like reaction feature for easier management of status updates. With this feature, status likes will now appear in the viewer list instead of falling into the users' main inbox as a heart emoji.
MESSAGES FROM UNKNOWN ACCOUNTS WILL BE BLOCKED
Another feature focuses on blocking spam messages. With this update, WhatsApp will automatically block messages from unknown accounts that exceed a certain volume.
The message blocking feature is also expected to significantly reduce the amount of data the application needs to process. The features, which are currently in beta, are expected to be rolled out to all users in the coming weeks.
