Meta regularly updates both its WhatsApp and Instagram applications, aiming to improve its users' experiences. Having introduced many new features to its applications last year, Meta is now bringing another feature, the music feature, to WhatsApp.

MUSIC FEATURE IS COMING TO WHATSAPP

The licensed music library feature used in posts, stories, and reels on the Instagram application is frequently used by users. This feature will also be made available for Meta's other application, WhatsApp.

HOW WILL THE MUSIC FEATURE BE USED?

Users who want to use the music feature will find it in the top bar of the 'Status' tab's editing screen, next to the crop/rotate, sticker, text, and drawing icons. When the icon is tapped, a “comprehensive music catalog,” identical to Instagram's licensed catalog, will open, and users will be able to search for music by title or artist, or select featured or trending tracks.

HOW LONG WILL THE MUSIC DURATION BE IN POSTS?

Music-accompanied statuses shared on WhatsApp will be adjustable, just like on Instagram, for 15 seconds on photos, and according to the length of the video for videos.
