Microsoft's internal correspondence regarding the OpenAI crisis has emerged

We began the last business day of last week with OpenAI's decision to fire its CEO, Sam Altman. Afterward, we watched the events unfold as if we were watching a series. While it was announced that Altman would move to Microsoft, OpenAI employees also declared they were ready to resign following Altman. In the end, OpenAI's board of directors changed, and Altman returned to his post. 

In the news coverage of the process by Webtekno, Microsoft played an important role. The commercial arm that the non-profit OpenAI later established had also received a very significant investment from Microsoft. The company also has its own internal artificial intelligence structure. In other words, no matter what happened, Microsoft employees were going to be affected by this situation. 

INTERNAL CORRESPONDENCE HAS EMERGED

The company's CTO and Executive Vice President, Kevin Scott, sent a message to employees in which he provided information about the process and also expressed his gratitude. While Scott stated that the situation at OpenAI remains uncertain due to the events of recent days, he nevertheless expressed that their partnership with the firm, which has been ongoing for more than 4 years, will continue. 

Another point that stood out in Scott's post was that both Microsoft and OpenAI teams continue to work with a sense of "undiminished urgency." Stating that since Friday, Azure's new computational AI, the Orca 2 research from MSR predecessors, and ChatGPT's voice usage features have been introduced, the Microsoft executive also stated that any one of these three features would be a major breakthrough for most companies. Scott concluded his post by thanking the employees. 

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella also made a similar post on X, thanking employees for both their efforts and their patience.
