Minister Uraloğlu: Discord will be reopened

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu appeared on a live broadcast on TGRT Haber.

Stating that the social media platform Discord, where users communicate via text, voice, and video, will soon be reopened for access, Minister Uraloğlu said the following:

"We shut down Roblox and Discord through court orders. Now, Discord has reached the criteria Turkey demands, especially regarding content removal. We are in talks with our relevant ministers and institutions. We will likely reopen it after a while."

Discord had been blocked from access under Article 8 of Law No. 5651, pursuant to the decision of the Ankara 1st Criminal Court of Peace dated October 9, 2024, and numbered 2024/12907.
