MyEdenred moves to Huawei smartwatches: Ticket Restaurant payments can now be made from the wrist
Through a partnership between Edenred Turkey and Huawei, MyEdenred will be available on select Huawei smartwatches. Users will be able to make payments at POS terminals using their watches.

As part of a collaboration with Huawei, Edenred Turkey has launched the MyEdenred application on select Huawei smartwatch models. With this integration, Ticket Restaurant users will be able to make transactions by holding their watches up to POS devices without needing to take out their mobile phones.
The MyEdenred application previously offered features such as viewing meal card balances and spending history, as well as payments via QR code and NFC on mobile devices. With this new support, the option to pay via wearable devices has been added to these functions. Edenred states that this feature is a first in the meal card sector.
WHICH MODELS ARE SUPPORTED?
The MyEdenred integration can be used on the following models: Huawei Watch Fit 5, Fit 5 Pro, GT Runner 2, GT 6 Pro, GT 6, GT 5 Pro, GT 5, GT 4, FIT 4 Pro, FIT 4, Watch D2, and Watch Ultimate.
Beste Kaya Çilingir, Deputy General Manager of Marketing and Growth at Edenred Turkey, stated that they view digitalization as a field that simplifies users' daily transactions. Çilingir noted that moving MyEdenred's mobile features to wearable devices is a new step and that users have already begun downloading and using the feature on their watches in a short time.
Mustafa Can Akbaş, Marketing Director of Huawei Turkey Consumer Business Group, stated that they position smartwatches not only as health and sports-focused products but also as devices that can be used for daily transactions. According to Akbaş, the Edenred integration will be one of the steps that expands the payment use cases within Huawei's wearable device ecosystem.
