NASA has released a time-lapse video showing how a day passes on Mars. Curiosity recorded the Sun's transit across Mars over a 12-hour period.

The Curiosity rover, which is actively collecting data as part of NASA's Mars mission, has this time provided a time-lapse video from Mars. In this footage, the transit of the Sun across Mars was recorded over 12 hours and turned into a short video. This time-lapse footage captures the Mars-Sun conjunction.
THE TIME-LAPSE VIDEO NASA SHARED OF A DAY ON MARS
NASA's primary goal here was to record whether any weather events would occur or if any findings would emerge during this event.
The images consist of a compilation of photos taken by the Hazcam cameras located on the rover.
When the images reached Earth after the conjunction, scientists did not observe any significant weather events, but the pair of 25-frame videos they assembled shows how time passes on Mars. In the videos, Curiosity's silhouette changes as the day progresses from morning to afternoon and into the evening.
