In addition to being the world's most popular film and series platform, Netflix has recently increased its efforts toward mobile gaming. The platform, which offers its users the ability to play games through its application, has now announced that it will add Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition to its library.
PLAYERS WILL EXPERIENCE A NOSTALGIC TREAT
According to a report by Gökay Uyan from Webtekno, the GTA trilogy, which was released with remastered versions in 2021, will be included in Netflix's game library as of December 14, 2023. Subscribers will have the chance to play GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas, and GTA III without paying any additional fees.
These games will be offered for iOS and Android platforms. Netflix also states that players can pre-register for the GTA trilogy starting today. The games will be accessible through the Netflix application and will also be offered separately to Netflix subscribers on the App Store and Play Store.
This move by Netflix is part of its efforts to expand its library of 80 games. Although the company focuses on mobile games, there is no official information on how many of these games are played, while some reports claim that less than 1% of subscribers play these games. It is noted that adding GTA games could help the platform in this regard.
