Instagram, the world's most popular online photo and short-video sharing platform, has begun testing a new feature. This new feature will especially please users who frequently share Stories on Instagram. Because with Instagram's new feature, you will be able to choose exactly who sees your Stories as you wish.

Multiple lists will be creatable

Until now, Instagram has offered 2 options for Story posts. These options were either all followers (or everyone if the account is public) or "Close Friends." With the Close Friends list you created, you could show your Story to specific users. In fact, when you shared a Story that only your close friends could see, the user would see it with a badge. This situation will soon change. Users will be able to create multiple friend lists.

Badges will continue to be seen

Once the feature, which is currently in the testing phase, reaches all users, there will be a "Create list" option on the Story sharing page. Users who tap this option will be able to create lists to which they can add the followers they want and give them a name. After creating these lists, you will be able to select a specific list when sharing a Story on Instagram. Users added to these lists will continue to see the green badge. Users will be able to share a Story for multiple lists at the same time.

When it will be available is not yet clear

Instagram head Adam Mosseri, who made statements regarding the new feature, said that the feature in the testing phase would improve the Story sharing experience on Instagram. Mosseri did not provide an assessment on when the new feature would be available. Meanwhile, Instagram stated on the support page it created for Story lists that this feature is currently available in specific regions.
