Xiaomi has announced its new pressurized steam iron, the Mijia Pressurized Steam Iron, under its Mijia brand. Aiming to remove wrinkles with less effort than a classic iron, the product stands out with its high steam pressure and large water tank.

The new model features an internal vaporizer and a 500 kPa electromagnetic pump. Capable of producing 135-degree steam with a 2200W heating system, the device can provide a steam output of 40 grams per minute. This is intended to allow for deeper penetration into thick or layered fabrics.

The Mijia Pressurized Steam Iron comes with a secondary heating system to reduce condensation and water spotting. The product, which uses a ceramic alloy base plate, also allows for traditional ironing thanks to its stand that can tilt up to 90 degrees.

The model, which features controls placed at the tip, also includes a hand sensor. When the user releases the handle of the device, the steam output stops; the product shuts down completely after 30 minutes.

Offering approximately 40 minutes of steam usage with its 2-liter water tank, the iron has four separate operating modes for different fabrics. The price of the Mijia Pressurized Steam Iron, which has a total weight of 7.5 kilograms, has been announced as approximately 87 dollars.
