'PUBG MOBILE World Cup Grand Finals' to be held in Istanbul: Turkish team to compete
The Grand Finals of the PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMGC), one of the world's largest esports tournaments, will take place between December 8 and 10 with the participation of a Turkish team. Another Turkish team, Melise Esports, which finished the League Stage in 9th place, will participate in the Survival Stage to be held between November 22 and 24, striving to compete in the Finals in Istanbul. The Grand Finals of the PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMGC), one of the world's largest esports tournaments, will be held at the Istanbul Ülker Sports and Event Hall between December 8 and 10.
As Turkey prepares to host the world's best PUBG MOBILE teams, the possibility of multiple esports teams from our country participating in this major organization is also being considered. The tournament, which has a prize pool of 3 million dollars, will host Turkey's esports scene.
A TURKISH TEAM WILL COMPETE
S2G Esports, the winner of last year's World Championship, earned the right to participate directly in the PMGC Grand Finals. On the road to the finals, 3 esports teams from Turkey took part in the PMGC League Stage. Bra Espor and Next Rüya were unable to achieve the success required to qualify for the finals with their performance there, but Melise Esports, which finished the Group Stage in 9th place, earned the right to compete in the Survival Stage.

Teams that finished the Group Stage between 4th and 11th place will compete in the Survival Stage. This stage will consist of 3 different groups in total and will be held between November 22 and 24 with the participation of 24 teams. The top 16 teams in the Survival Stage will earn the right to participate in the Last Chance Qualifiers, and the top 5 from there will have the chance to participate in the Grand Finals to be held in Istanbul. The Survival Stage matches will be broadcast live on the PUBG MOBILE Esports Turkey YouTube Channel.
RECENT RISE
Melise Esports, which has no previous World Championship experience, has drawn attention with its rapid rise in recent years. The team, which finished first in the PUBG MOBILE Rising Stars tournament held last December, won this tournament, which serves as a gateway to the professional esports arena for amateur players. Furthermore, they finished the 2023 PMPL Turkey Fall Season, which had a 4 million TL prize pool and concluded last month, in first place. Following these successes, Melise Esports earned the right to compete in the 2023 PUBG MOBILE Pro League European Fall Season and finished the tournament in 5th place, winning a 12,000 dollar prize in addition to their PMGC League Stage ticket.
